So Cubia loves Kite. He'd do anything to protect him, even at the sake of his own life! At the same time, he wants Kite to himself, he always will. Right now, he's trying to poke Kite into revealing more about himself, so that Cubia can understand him better. Cubia knows that he has put Kite on a pedestal and that's not what Kite wants. So Cubia is learning and ready to give Kite whatever he wants.

SO YOU BETTER NOT DIE

While Cubia is fully aware of his feelings for Kaworu, he doesn't believe Kaworu feels the same way! He has zero faith in Kaworu because Kaworu does whatever he likes and to him, the odds of Kaworu just abandoning are really high. Which raises his ugly instincts of just taking things away and something he works really hard on controlling. Ultimately, he feels that in the end, there's nothing he can do and that Kaworu will leave anyway. He's just accepted that.

. . . CUBIA STOP SUCKING SO BAD. :(

Kaworu doesn't even know what to do to help . . . that situation. He thought that getting Kanji to accept that he could love Cubia too would be enough.

Yeah but Cubia's mentality is like this:

Everyone else comes first > Cubia.

Also I'm curious. Does Cubia has feelings for Kite? I mean, Kite is everything and I get that, BUT I'M CURIOUS.

He does have feelings for Kite! But I don't think he'll ever act on them. Losing Kite is terrifying enough that Cubia won't push for anything more.

Kite loveeeeeeeeeeeeeeees Cubia deeply but he pushed back the romantic feelings he was developing after the kissing game, and he will never think Cubia feels that way at all.

Yeah they'll never get anywhere I think.

Not without external "help" yeah. Man, as much as I love Kaworu and Cubia I feel their relationship is too bad for Cubia. ;;

Yeah, he needs someone where he'll come first.

Cubia is first on Kite's list but . . . yeah.

Do you have "endgame" plans for Cubia? :O any of the "completed registry" options tickle your fancy?

I'm not sure yet! I definitely want all his powers back so he can lash out without worrying. (mostly I want his tentacle form because that would bring out the biggest lulz). I don't think it's possible for Cubia to ever leave Citrine, but if he felt being a knight is his best chance to kill a Personae, he might take it.

We haven't threaded in a while. Mukuro's thoughts on Cubia?

MOSTLY NEUTRAL POSITIVE! He doesn't have any reason to dislike Cubia and in general likes him but wouldn't consider him a friend.

Thoughtssss onnn ummm hmmmmmmmmm how Cubia has changed from canon?

Well, for one, he's learning that he has responsibilities for his actions. Before, he wouldn't have cared, doing whatever it takes to survive, but now he's realized that it's simply not enough just to do that! So he works really hard in overriding his natural instincts in order to be a more acceptable person! However, that's deeply difficult for him and he's starting to hide more of himself than he did before.
